A Brief Look Into The Eskimi Culture: Interview with Emre Bibin

Today, we're taking you behind the scenes at Eskimi with an in-depth interview with Senior Business Development Manager Emre Bibin. Emre was kind enough to sit down and share his journey from TV advertising sales to growing Eskimi’s programmatic footprint in Turkey.

Q: Could you share your journey into the ad-tech industry and what led you to Eskimi?

A: Absolutely! My career began with one of Turkey's most prominent national TV stations, where I was deeply involved in TV advertising sales for about 8-9 years.

The transition from offline media to digital was a natural progression, mirroring the shifts in our everyday lives towards digital platforms. Eskimi represents my first foray into the ad-tech company scene, marking a significant milestone in my career.

Q: What excites you about growing Eskimi’s market in Turkey?

A: Transitioning to Eskimi was both familiar and new. It was familiar because I’ve always thrived on creating and growing new markets, but it was new in that the products and technologies I'm now dealing with are quite different from my past experiences.

There's a special kind of thrill in starting almost from scratch and aspiring to turn Eskimi into a trusted and sought-after partner in the industry. Pioneering a market that fosters demand for innovative products drives me.

The prospect of making Eskimi one of the industry's biggest players in Turkey is an incredibly motivating challenge.

Teamwork and Embracing Global Collaboration

Q: How would you describe the teamwork within your region and Eskimi’s global corporate culture?

A: Trust is the cornerstone of effective teamwork, especially in advertising sales. My experience with Eskimi has reinforced this belief. The harmony and trust within our Turkish team are remarkable, fueled by mutual respect, abilities and work ethic.

Despite our varied backgrounds—from media selling to media agency and DSP expertise—our differences are our strengths, enabling us to complement each other beautifully. Interestingly, our ability to support different football teams in Istanbul without conflict is a testament to our strong team dynamics!

Moreover, the support from global teams is invaluable. Their knowledge and experience illuminate our path in the Turkish market, helping us navigate cultural and operational differences. Working closely with international teams has been enlightening, enhancing my understanding of Eskimi's global company policy and enriching my professional development.

Working with people from many different parts of the world and other cultures is a fascinating journey. Of course, to be able to work remotely but simultaneously so close and intertwined in daily working life, you need to have an excellent communication system.

Thanks to integrating our marketing and technical teams, we can create a working environment that is as if we are in the same office. Using Slack, things like business follow-ups, communication, requests, answers, and more are all at our fingertips at any moment.

Future Ambitions: Shaping Eskimi's Legacy in Turkey

Q: What are your ambitions and goals for Eskimi in the Turkish market?

A: Turkey represents a new frontier for Eskimi, filled with excitement and responsibility. As the face of Eskimi in Turkey, my team and I are passionate about building a robust structure and market presence that Eskimi can be proud of.

Our progress so far affirms that we're on the right path, boosting our confidence for the future.

My ultimate goal is to see Eskimi become a pioneering force in Turkey's ad-tech landscape, and I'm committed to participating in this journey for many years to come.
